The Secret Garden

This project included creating a consistent identity system for the children's book "The Secret Garden". The deliverables included a book cover, typeset proof, and film poster. I was inspired by the different art eras the author lived through, most notably the Victorian Era and Art Nouveau movements. The interior of the book was set in old style serifs and engraved type to historically match the time the book was printed in. As part of my process work, I created a few different title treatment compositions to trial what visually matched the story.
